Southern Cooking-Spice Up With This New Recipe
This past weekend, I headed out to Texas Pride Barbecue in Adkins, Texas just outside of San Antonio with my family and enjoyed some mouthwatering smoked barbecue brisket, sausage, ribs, and chicken. You could taste the smoke flavor deep within the brisket. If you are ever out down in this part of Texas, I would recommend you check it out.
You need to simply keep in mind to be versatile with the young children while you're looking to get them to actually eat. Ordinarily, pancakes are made at breakfast, but why not offer them at dinnertime for a treat? Why don't you have fresh fruit with a pudding? It's critical to never bribe children to consume with claims of a treat like candy or soft serve ice cream; this leads to pigging out as well as bad diet. Anyway, back to the point, when I think of Memphis BBQ, I think of- you guessed it- Blues, spicy rib rubs and sultry nights. That sounds like a great combination to me. Slow cookers were originally made to cook food slowly, not to keep it warm or reheat it. Most new models can be programmed to switch finished meals to a "warm" setting. If you have a nonprogrammable model remove and serve finished food asap. Done food left in a slow cooker cools down quickly, giving bacteria a chance to grow, and you don't want that. Refrigerator lefovers and reheat food on the stove or in a microwave.
