The recipe below is the first one I made when I got my crock pot for Christmas 2 years ago. This stew recipe is for a 6 quart slow cooker. Depending on the size of your slow cooker, the amount of ingredients may vary.





In India Thai food can be tried in almost all cities. But there are also specialized restaurants which offer authentic Thai food. Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore are the cities which have several restaurants that serve Thai food in keeping with the ongoing food trend. The restaurants have chefs who are well trained in Thai cooking. Some of the restaurants also have chefs from Thailand so that the customers can experience the true taste of Thailand. Some of the common recipes like Fish cake, pumpkin beef stew paleo curry, steamed dumplings and Pad Thai have already become popular among the Indian people and have become a regular part of their diet.


Another appetizer: green onion pancakes. These are basically flatbreads spiced with green onions (this is popular street food in China and Taiwan). An order with 2 pieces is $3.95.


I let the stew cook for an hour or so on high and then I taste it and start to season. It will need some salt, pepper and garlic powder. I also add some beef and pumpkin curry bouilon cubes and some onion soup mix as well. At this point you can also add some frozen corn and green beens or whatever else you want.


Thailand is particularly renowned for its fish beef and pumpkin stir fry seafood dishes, though if you are dining some distance from the sea, bear in mind that river fish might be fresher. Popular seafood includes gung (prawn),pla (fish),plakapong (sea bass, a great favorite),plamik (squid), hoi (shellfish), hoi kreng (cockles), aharn taley (seafood), and boo (crab).


There are many Chinese rice recipes available that come very handy. It can be stir fried. It can also be made into porridge or served with vegetables and meat on top. All of these recipes can be very tasty when they are properly prepared and cooked. However, to prepare for those recipes, you need to properly cook the rice itself.


Once you're at this stage, add the soy sauce and five spice, stirring everything together to make sure it's all coated. If you want, add more sauce, as well as some black pepper, to intensify the flavor. To finish the sauce off, add the cornstarch, and turn the heat down to low. Stir everything around until the starch has slightly thickened the sauce and allowed it to stick to the meat and veggies.
